Imamia Medics Kashmir conducted CME-Cum-Workshop on Advanced Adult Life Support in collaboration with Imam Hussain a.s Hospital and Emergency Medicine Academy Manchester (UK) on 10th June 2025 at Imam Hussain Hospital, Srinagar.
Imamia Medics Kashmir, in its continued commitment to medical education and professional training, organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) cum Workshop on Advanced Adult Life Support, which included comprehensive sessions on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS).
The workshop was led by the highly experienced Dr. Mehdi Hussain Teili, Consultant and Clinical Director at East Lancashire University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, UK. Dr. Mehdi served as the Chief Instructor, bringing with him international experience in emergency and critical care. He was supported by:

Dr. Tariq Ahmed Sheikh, Critical Care Physician and certified instructor in BLS (American Heart Association) and FCCS (Fundamental Critical Care Support)

The workshop provided practical, simulation-based training aimed at enhancing emergency response capabilities among healthcare professionals. More than 40 participants, including doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff, attended the workshop.
Participants were trained in:
The latest BLS and ALS protocols
Effective CPR techniques
Use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs)
Emergency airway management
Handling cardiac arrest and other critical scenarios in real-time simulations
The hands-on sessions were followed by interactive case discussions and skill assessments to ensure that participants gained both theoretical understanding and practical confidence in managing life-threatening emergencies.
The program was well-received and appreciated by the participants for its international standard of instruction, clarity of training, and relevance to day-to-day clinical practice.
This initiative marks another step by Imamia Medics Kashmir in building a stronger and more responsive healthcare workforce in the region, aligned with global best practices.
