The Constitutional Criteria for Membership

While our beneficiaries—and many of our supporters—come from diverse religious backgrounds, and we uphold a strict policy of non-discrimination based on caste, creed, or gender in our services, our membership is constitutionally limited to Shia Ithna Ashari Muslims as a community-based entity. However, honorary membership is open to all with the approval of the patron body. As a professional health organization, voting rights are reserved exclusively for Imamia Medics Kashmir members from health-related fields who have completed a minimum of one year post MBBS/BDS graduation and are actively contributing through the monthly membership fee in addition to the basic lifetime membership fee. We deeply value our student and associate members, encouraging their involvement and input. However, members in these categories are not eligible to vote and are exempt from the monthly membership fee until they meet the criteria for voting eligibility. Our Allied Healthcare professionals who are an important part of our team will have a separate membership program
