The Constitutional Criteria for Membership

While our beneficiaries and many of our supporters come from diverse religious backgrounds, and we uphold a strict policy of non-discrimination based on caste, creed, gender in our services, our membership is constitutionally limited to Shia Ithna Ashari Muslims as community-based entity. However, honorary membership is open to all with the approval of the patron body. As a professional health organization, voting rights are reserved exclusively for Imamia Medics Kashmir permanent members only. The election process and voting rights will be explained in the constitution of the Imamia Medics Kashmir. Our Allied Healthcare professionals who are an important part of our team will have a separate membership program in future. However, this membership is reserved for the doctors only.

By becoming a member, you join the largest professional network of the Shia Ithna Ashari Medical Fraternity in Jammu and Kashmir—a platform where you can learn, grow, and actively serve the community. To make this mission accessible to all, we have kept the basic membership fee of just Rs. 5000 for a consultant, Rs 2000 for others (MOs, Dental Surgeons, JRs, SRs, General Physicians, Residents etc) and Rs 1000 for medical students* followed by a nominal monthly fee of Rs 200 for unemployed and Rs 500 for employeed**.

* We expect our members to upgrade their membership accordingly. A medical student after a certain period after completion of his degree should pay membership fee according to his updated category. Similarly, anyone who reaches the position of a consultant, should pay the remaining amount of life-time membership.

** The monthly fee is subject to changes. SIM forms will be issued for the same.
