Imamia Medics Kashmir organized a Health Screening and Awareness Camp on Sunday, 13th April 2025 at Dar Mohallah, Payeen Nowgam, Sonawari, Bandipora, catering to the healthcare needs of the local population. The camp witnessed the participation of around 200 families, who availed themselves of comprehensive medical checkups and consultations.
A dedicated team comprising General Physicians, Dental Surgeons, ENT specialists, Gynecologists, Pediatricians, Cardiologists, Internal medicine specialists, Surgeons, Ophthalmologists, and Lab technicians offered their services during the camp. The aim was to provide accessible healthcare, raise awareness about the common health issues and offer on-the-spot treatment and counselling.
During the course of the camp, the team observed a high incidence of jaundice and anemia, indicating possible nutritional deficiencies and environmental factors especially the drinking water facilities requiring further community-based interventions. A significant number of individuals were found to have ophthalmological issues, likely linked to the natures of their occupations. Additionally, a lack of awareness surrounding women's health was noted, prompting focused counseling sessions on gynecological issues and general well-being.
Special attention was given to maternal and child health, with tailored consultations and awareness efforts of women and children.
The initiative reflects Imamia Medics' unwavering commitment to the motto "Serving Humanity" and aligns with our long-term vision of delivering quality healthcare to undeserved communities.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the local volunteers for their active participation and to the partner laboratory for providing essential diagnostic facilities during the camp.
