Mental Health Awareness Programme 2025 by IMK

Imamia Medics Kashmir conducted a Mental Health Awareness Program at GHSS Zadibal,Srinagar on 3rd May 2025 with a special focus on Depression in Women.

The session was led by Dr. Marya Zahoor, a respected Neuropsychiatrist, who delivered a powerful and interactive talk, followed by one-on-one counseling sessions with students. Many students came forward to share their concerns, some experienced emotional breakdowns, and were given proper consultation and referrals for further care. Several previously undiagnosed issues came to light, showing how impactful and necessary such programs are.

Interestingly, the session also resonated strongly with the teachers, who expressed enthusiasm and appreciation for the high level of student engagement. Many remarked that such sessions are “the need of the hour” and hoped to see more of them in the future.

This event is part of Imamia Medics Kashmir’s ongoing commitment to promoting mental health awareness and holistic well-being, especially among the youth. We remain dedicated to addressing vital health issues in our communities through education, support, and direct care.
